Instagram post 17873202703592569 Thank you so much for the prayers friends! My IBS or UC(docs dont really know) flair up is over PRAISE JESUS! I could totally feel those prayers. I have to just lay in bed and pray and listen to my Bible app read to me because it's the only thing that takes away the discomfort.
I'm so grateful for healthy days. Pain and suffering tends to make you extremely grateful when it's over. I hate that it takes the suffering to ignite such passionate gratitude though. It's mindblowing to me how easily and quickly we forget things and fall right back into our ungrateful, selfish, stressed out over stupid little things mindset.
Enjoy your day mama. Hug your babies. Be grateful for everyday you get together. Let go of the stupid little things. Don't give them power to ruin your day.

Instagram post 17844690334873513 Merry Christmas everyone! While we all enjoy some fun gifts and encourage the act of giving in this house we also spend time remembering Jesus is #thereasonfortheseason and we are so grateful to be loved by the incredible God who created this universe. We are so blessed and I DO NOT take that for granted. I appreciate my precious family and our health and happiness more than words can express. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and remember "Happiness is not having what you want, it is appreciating what you have."

Instagram post 17992539883280371 True to my brand I am a maverick mother raising maverick children. This two year old is the most argumentative, hard headed, opinionated, and determined child I have had yet....and I couldn't be MORE PROUD.
.
.
So many times we are told our kids are "bad" because they act this way. You may be told by your family members that your kids are disrespectful(especially by the older generation). You might get dirty looks in public. That's just our social conditioning your feeling the pressure from. Don't give into listening to it. Of course it is always about balance so I am not advocating kids should get to be disrespectful punks, BUT when kids are punished for questioning you because "you said so" it's teaching them never to question authority. .
.
Older generations worshipped authority. They did everything the doctor said, no questions asked because he was the doctor. They told their kids to be seen and not heard which devalued their thoughts and input. Now as they have become adults they question nothing when in fact they should question EVERYTHING because now we have an evil force working against us at all times called MARKETING šŸ‘€. The marketing industry lies, cheats, and manipulates people into spending their life force(your time) on things you don't need. .
.
I welcome questioning from my kids and use it as opportunity to explain why I feel that way and set those rules so that they learn to question and make wise choices. Our society disrespects a childs value because no one wants a free thinker. I challenge you to not get frustrated if your kid questions why they can't do something they want and instead explain to them your reasons why not, even if it's just because your tired 😁 haha.
.
.
Mark 10:13-16
And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, ā€œLet the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.ā€ And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.

Instagram post 18120284926048368 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! I am rebranding!!
.
.
As I have been on sabbatical these last few months I have been seriously considering where I am needed most for expecting mamas, who I am and who I want to be, what my brand stands for, and what kind of mamas are my tribe. Maverick Mothers perfectly represents the mamas who aren't afraid to think out side the box, who question and research EVERYTHING, who are confident in their ability to be a total badassšŸ’Ŗ.... And if you don't feel this way now you will by the end of my course. I will slowly be changing everything over. New website coming soon.
.
.
.
I have realized over the years that most of my students are birthing in the hospitals, but wanting to birth on their terms or perhaps without the assistance of drugs but with the medical backup of the hospital... just in case. .
.
So I have created this super convenient online childbirth class that is precisely for these mamas. The ones who want to be in a hospital but know ALL their options and know the more natural ways of going about birthing in a hospital....the BETTER ways of getting an epidural, the BETTER ways of going about an induction and reducing the risk for baby and mother. .
.
This information will COMPLETELY change your experience and prevent you from repeating the horror birth stories you hear from your girlfriends and female family members so that you can have a comfortable, joyful experience to start out your new family. LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS CLASS BY CLICKING THE LINK IN MY BIO.

Instagram post 17870438272497327 I HATE putting on eye make up! I love being glam even though I'm crunchy too so it's kind of a fine line to walk but I am glam everywhere but the eye makeup haha! I know acrylic and dip powder nails are bad for you but man do they make me feel pretty and put together. I have had a few sweet messages asking me how to get your confidence back after having a baby. .
.
First of all... root yourself in the truth that you are a TOTAL BADASS for growing and birthing a baby!
Second... find what makes you feel "put together" and make it a priority to do every morning. I feel more productive during the day when I make my bed, do my hair, wear something cute, and have my nails done so I make sure to these in the morning hours everyday if possible. Are there days that I mom bun it with sweatpants and leave the bed a wreck? Of course! And I respect the need for those days and dont beat myself up about them.... But I dont seem to get as much done or feel as accomplished those days. What makes you feel "put together"?

Instagram post 17848555891659409 October is #pregnancyandinfantlossawareness month and this picture was taken of my tiny baby bump 10 years ago. Our first pregnancy. We had decided for me to go off the pill and we were ready. I got pregnant the first month off of it(didn't know better). We were incredibly happy and excited. On Christmas eve(about a month after this pic) I started bleeding....a lot. We went into the Emergency Department and they confirmed our fear. The nurse told me he was so sorry and I just remember tears started to fall. He asked if I wanted a D&C and i said no. Not sure what gave me the confidence to refuse but I'm glad I did. On Christmas day came the terrible cramping. I remember going to the bathroom and seeing my 13 week old babies body right there on the tissue paper. It was so shocking and heartbreaking. I just cried for days. When I finally came out of my fog all I wanted was to be pregnant again. We tried for 8 months that time before finally becoming pregnant with our sweet Paisley. It was such a difficult time of our life. Thank God for the rainbows after the rain🌈 I thank God daily for my rainbow baby and our many other healthy ones. I don't take my fertility or my healthy babies for granted. Health is a gift. There are many who don't recieve this precious gift and my heart hurts for them. They make the strongest amongst us. I'm so sorry for your losses mamasā¤ I pray that you see your rainbow soon. We are all blessed to be alive. I absolutely believe from all I know about pregnancy (and that's ALOT HAHA) it is a pure miracle from God to be born on this earth. Don't waste this one life you get. It might go differently than what you were hoping for but don't give up your hope for tomorrow.

Instagram post 18085879990097110 I saw this awesome tatoo shop on my Seattle trip and decided that after 9 years of being pregnant or breastfeeding I would FINALLY get a tatoo I have been dreaming of for a while! I have been wanting a cross, and the pink flowers to symbolize the amazing time of pregnancy with Paisley as we lived in Tyler, Tx with little pink dogwood trees blooming everywhere when she was born in April, and the yellow Palo Verde tree blooms represents Sadie's pregnancy and birth year in Phoenix, Az. It's so special to meā¤ Thank you Ally @blacksparrowtattoo_seattle .
What is your dream tatoo you're waiting to get????
